Dignity! Period. Competition

Competition deadline is 27th April 2007!

As you will be aware, NUS Women’s Campaign has policy to support ACTSA (Action for Southern Africa) on their Dignity! Period. campaign. Many of you have been instrumental in ensuring that this campaign has been a massive success for both ACTSA and NUS, but more importantly, for the women of Zimbabwe who are now receiving much needed sanitary products because of this campaign. It is vital that we continue raising awareness and funds for this important campaign and really educate students in the UK about the issues that face Southern Africa. We cannot thank you enough for your support.

In order to continue working in solidarity with ACTSA and the people of Southern Africa, we want to encourage all women’s officers around the country to educate your fellow students about the crucial Dignity! Period. campaign, as well as the vital role students play in international development. That is why we are inviting you to take part in possibly the most exciting competition launched for women’s officers, ever!

THE PRIZE: This really is an opportunity of a life time...A 12 day trip to South Africa and Swaziland with ACTSA in June 2007. Along with other selected student and youth leaders you will experience a rare insight into the issues facing Southern Africa as a result of its political history. The trip is designed to give a better understanding of the Southern African situation, and to highlight the massive impact the student movement can have when working in solidarity with your Southern African counterparts. For more details, see this Competition Flyer
