NUS Women's Conference
Thank you to all the women who participated in NUS Women's Conference 2007!
This year, as well as debating policy and electing our national committee, we also celebrated 20 years of NUS Women's Officers with a birthday party and a feminist timeline display (created in partnership with The Women's Library).
Many thanks also to our guest speakers and workshop leaders, who were:
- Maleiha Malik (anti-discrimination law expert from King's College, London)
- Siobhan Endean, Head of Equality at Amicus
- The Women's Library on the history of campaigning
- Abortion Rights on the pro-choice movement
- V-Day: Until the Violence Stops on college fund-raising performances of the Vagina Monologues
- Amnesty International on their Stop Violence Against Women Campaign
NUS Women’s Conference re-elected Kat Stark as NUS Women’s Officer.
