Feminists Fighting Fees!
It has been over thirty-five years since the Equal Pay Act, yet a substantial gender wage gap still exists. The annual salary of male graduates aged 20-24 is 15% higher than the annual salary of female graduates in the same age group.
With this in mind, NUS Women’s Campaign wants to highlight the fact that increases in tuition fees and student debt disproportionately affect women students. We will be marching with placards reading ‘Feminists Fighting Fees!’ at the National Demo on Sunday 29th October and all are welcome to join.
