Students and Communities
This week NUS launched the report “Students in the community: working together to achieve harmony” at the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG). The report is a product of a two-day think tank, held jointly by NUS and the housing charity Unipol and sponsored by the University Partnerships Programme.
The report was praised by Baroness Andrews as an excellent initiative and a useful contribution to the debate. The report contains practical solutions and suggestions to improve and develop relations with residents' groups, local councils and institutions. The document uses good practice examples from students'unions and is a tool to enable you to develop your own policies and action plans.
