Age discrimination - the new law
The NUS Mature Students Committee would like to introduce this NUS briefing on the 2006 Age Discrimination Briefing.
From 1st October 2006, Employment Equality (Age) Regulations will come into effect. It is vital that student unions are aware of these changes to the law. The new legislation covers both further and higher education institutions, and their treatment of students. It will also impact on students unions as employers.
The Mature Students Campaign welcomes the introduction of this new legislation.
