There is no justification for torture, 'rendition', discrimination and unlawful detention

NUS is supporting the Amnesty International Unsubscribe Me campaign, which aims to highlight human rights abuses in the wake of the War on Terror.
Amnesty acknowledges a government’s right to make a stand against terrorism, however, it feels this is not a justification for torture, 'rendition', discrimination and unlawful detention and NUS agrees.
It is important that we all come together to unite against human rights abuses in. The Society and Citizenship Zone urges students and students’ unions to get involved on a local level in the ‘Unsubscribe’ campaign.
