Union campaigns & ultra vires - meeting your charitable purpose.
Following a motion submitted at Annual Conference 2009 NUS has produced an updated guide for students unions explaining how you can run active campaigns on your campus whilst remaining within the charity law regulations.
This resource is intended to provide clarity and highlight how students unions can create an active campaigning environment. The regulations are complex and the rules are not clear cut. Therefore we urge students unions to contact NUS with specific questions.
