Library 24/7 Campaign
“We are going to be running a 24/7 library opening hours campaign here at Northumbria and I was just
wondering if anyone had any ideas for publicity materials (ie wording
for posters) and/or themes. We've got some things together already but
I'd love it if we could get some more before making any firm decisions
on what to go with.” Martin Rockwell Farr, Vice-President (Education & Welfare) at Northumbria University Students’ Union
“Last year here at Lancaster the library hours were extended and we had a
"It's about time" awareness campaign. We've also used "the hoff" and him
in his baywatch gear on poster with the slogan "i'll be there for you"
and then info about the library hours.” Becky Heard; LUSU Education and Welfare Officer
“I found these files on my pc which covers some research we did into
opening hours. It was valid in August 06.” Andy Mitchell, London Metropolitan University Students' Union

Admission impossible, the next steps...
“ How is everyone feeling post national demo? How are Unions moving on to the
next phase of the campaign? Do you have any meetings with your local MPs
lined up? Are you lobbying your VC? It would be great to know what people
are doing so we can share ideas and support each over!” Louise Sweeney, NEC
“Swansea University Students' Union is still recovering from the demo; what a
day it was!! We ended up bringing three fifty seater buses and a minibus,
as we managed to secure sponsorship off Amicus and TUC. Did anyone spot
Swansea Students' Union Borat or love chicken? They were out together in
force and they loved it bopping around London.” Stuart Chugga Jones; Education Officer at Swansea University Students Union
“I just wanted to
let ppl know that there is a facebook group called ‘I went to the Admission Impossible demo against top-up fees!’ ” Martin Rockwell Farr; Vice-President Education and Welfare at Northumbria Student's Union
