Awareness of HC1 forms: most students are entitled to subsidised or free healthcare; all you have to do to claim it is to fill out a HC1 form. The Students' Union will be distributing and helping you fill out these forms.
Petition and letter to local MP’s to gain their support of the Early Day Motion asking for free health-care and prescriptions to all full-time UK students.
Assisting and fighting for our on-campus health centre; which has been informed by the NHS that they can no longer issue prescription drugs.
Essex The emphasis this year will be on a reduction in GUM (sexual health clinics) waiting times; every Primary Care Trust in the country has been allocated new funding to improve facilities. We must contact local MP’s to ask them to intervene and ensure the full funding is spent: without it, STI rates will continue to increase, costing the NHS more money in the long run. On a lighter note, there will also be a man (or woman) in a condom suit running around.
About the campaign: Encompassing this huge campaign are some key priorities.
