Admission Impossible Roadshow
Your National President and VP Education, co-covenors of the Admission Impossible campaign, Gemma Tumelty and Wes Streeting are coming to a campus near you! The NEC members are hoping to drum up support for the campaign and the National Demo on Sunday 29 October. They are willing to get involved in any events that you may be organising and are happy to talk to your student and local media. They will be blogging regularly and taking photo's of their travels.
So far we have confirmed these dates (times are approximate and more stops will be added as they are confirmed):
Wednesday 4 October
Sheffield: 11.00am - 2.00pm,
Sheffield Hallam: 2.30pm - 5.00pm
Thursday 5 October
TASC: 12.00pm - 1.30pm
Leeds: 2.00pm – 3.30pm
Leeds Met: 4.00pm - late
Friday 6 October
Northiumbria University: 11.00am - 2.00pm
Newcastle College: 2.30pm - 4.30pm
Monday 9 October
St Martins: 10.30am – 1.30pm
Lancaster University: 1.00pm - 3.00pm
UCLAN: 3.30 - 5.30pm
Tuesday 10 October
MMU: 4.00pm - 7.00pm, Wes and Gemma also spoke at a specially organised meeting
Salford: 11.30am - 2.30pm
Wednesday 11 October
Liverpool Hope: 8.30am - 11.30am
Liverpool John Moores: 12.00am - 2.30pm
Liverpool: 3.00pm - 6.00pm, Wes and Gemma will be speaking at a debate
Thursday 12 October

Monday 16 October

Coventry: 1.00 – 3.30pm, Gemma speaking at UGM
Warwick: 4.30pm – 7.30pm
Monday 23 October
Plymouth: 12.30 - 5.00pm
Thursday 26 October
Leicester: 3.00pm – 7.00pm, Wes speaking at council
If your institution is near any of these and you would like them to visit you email campaigns@nus.org.uk
Some campuses have an organised events such as a question time with Wes and Gemma or an Admission Impossible motion at their union meeting, perhaps you could: organise a debate with the debating society and the VC from your institution, or organise a talk on higher education issues, or any other activies that maybe going on such as Reading's "Have a go day".
