NUS ExtraWhat is NUS Extra?NUS Extra is an exclusive student discount card only available to members of students' unions who are affiliated to NUS. NUS Extra was launched in August 2006 and year one of the national project will soon be drawning to a close. The card is available for sale for £10 and carries a wider range of exclusive discounts and offers card and online and on the high street, than have been available in the past. As part of the project, participating unions receive £4 commission for every card sold. NUS also offer the Democracy Card which is a free card that prooves student status, however this is is not a discount card. NUS Services operate the NUS Extra card project on behalf of NUS with active involvement from members of the National Executive, along with NUS staff. A plethora of information is available to students' unions including web resources, a customer service line for students' unions and students as well as regular email and newsletter updates. In order to ensure that the information that you access is the most up-to-date available, NUS Extra project updates are now available at www.nussl.co.uk. You will need to register with the site to access all information. Registration to the NUSSL site is available to any representative or staff member of an affiliated students' union (regardless of whether you are NUSSL members). For NUS Extra project managers and more in depth information about Extra within your union, you will need to register with the NUS Extra administration site which can be found at admin.nusextra.co.uk.
