An annual development conference for SSLO's
Hi all
For those of you who haven’t come across CEL or me before can I briefly introduce myself and our role in the FE sector and tell you about one of our initiatives that you may be interested in.
The Centre for Excellence in Leadership was set up three years ago and is charged with improving leadership, the talent pool and diversity across the learning and skills sector. We run a variety of programmes, conferences and produce a wide range of resources. More information can be found at CEL Home. My role is specifically focussed on developing mechanisms to support learners taking up a leadership role in their institution and the staff that support them.
As part of our new programmes and in the context of professional standards for SSLO’s we are putting together a developmental conference for staff working as SSLO’s or similar positions. Held in June this year it will specifically focus on the challenges and development opportunities for those of you working in the FE sector. The conference will be a two day residential and will be made up of a mixture of key notes addresses, workshop sessions and plenary.
Being the first event of its kind we are very keen to ensure that we get as much input from those currently working in this role as possible, if you have any suggestions for workshops or key note themes then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with them
Secondly can I ask all of you who would be interested in attending the event to complete the ‘registration of interest form’ which can be found at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=101653200985 This does not commit you to the event but allows the CEL events team to proceed with booking a suitable venue.
Finally if I can be of any assistance to you my contact details are below.
I look forward to hearing from you soon
