NUS/AoC/CEL FE Student Governors Toolkit Programme

November 06 Across the UK.

Includes toolkit, support package, accreditation and invitation to AoC Governors' Convention March 06.

This toolkit package gives Student Governors in FE the skills, knowledge and confidence to make an effective and valuable contribution to their corporation board and their college

Students take part in tutor sessions, briefings, and workshops throughout the year. It also provides students with the opportunity to network with other student governors.

Training is accredited and can lead to a level 3 qualification through the Open College Network (OCN)

As part of the package delegates are invited to AoC's main Governors' Convention in March 2007 where NUS will be running special student governor workshops

This year the programme will be delivered regionally, reducing costs of travel and registration as well as reducing the opportunity cost for students. Adding in use of the Governors' helpline, mailbase and NUS' Student Governors' Toolkit, it's a tailor-made training, networking and support package run by The National Union of Students (NUS) in conjunction with the Association of Colleges (AoC) and the Centre for Excellence in Leadership's (CEL) Leadership Skills for Governance initiative
