The purpose of NUS International Students’ Conference is to discuss matters of concern to international students, to set policy and to elect the NUS International Students Committee. POLICY
International Students can shape the policy of the NUS International Students Campaign by submitting motions and amendments from their students’ union. Outlined below is the procedure you will need to follow to do this.


How to submit and amend motions


INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS STUDENTS’ COMMITTEE
The Committee consists of 5 places that will be elected by Single Transferable Vote at Conference. Nominations for a position on the Committee will be opened and closed on the first day of Conference.


THE DELEGATION
ENTITLEMENT
Each Constituent Member is entitled to send one delegate with full voting and speaking rights. Delegates to NUS International Students Conference may be elected or nominated in a manner approved by the CM. The cost per delegate is £80 for HE and £70 for FE. In addition, each CM may send up to a maximum of 3 observers, there is a charge of £100 for every observer. To avoid any confusion or misunderstanding on this issue, please contact the NUS Welfare Officer or the events office if you have any queries.


RIGHTS
All delegates have full speaking and voting rights. Observers have full speaking rights but no voting rights.

REGISTRATION
Registrations for most of NUS events are now done using Regonline. Registration for the International Students Conference is now open Book Now .The close of registration is 1pm, Friday 11th April 2008. Accommodation and meals cannot be guaranteed after this date. Any registration after this date will be subject to a £50 late registration fee.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Please ensure that you include details of any disability related adaptations required by your delegates, as they relate to their participation in events. Advance notice of adaptations allows the necessary arrangements to be made in good time. This should also include needs related to large print or documents printed on a particular colour of paper.


Childcare can be provided. It is very important, however, that you do register children in advance to ensure a high standard of care, safety and enjoyment for children using the crèche. Put childcare details on the online registration form. Any requests for childcare received after the close of registration deadline on Friday 4th April 2008 cannot be guaranteed.
