Annual Conference of the Accreditation Network UKLearn about accreditation of private landlords and best practice in rented accommodation Tuesday, 5th December 2006, 1 Day, Cardiff SynopsisThe Annual Conference of the Accreditation Network UK is the main event of the year, bringing together policy makers, practitioners, landlords and agencies who are involved in the promotion and development of accreditation - all working together for better housing standards and supply and recognising those who make the grade. This year we are in Wales, recognising the work that has taken place in Wales to work in partnership to achieve wider dissemination of accreditation. The agenda is exciting and looks at the changing shape of accreditation as it widens out into new areas of housing. The conference will look at: - different types of accreditation and the overall shape of the accreditation movement
- how accreditation can promote initiatives looking at sustainability, tackling anti social behaviour and setting up accreditation in rural areas within an existing budget
- the growing regional networking within accreditation with case studies of Wales, the North West and East Midland in England
- the interplay between accreditation and licensing
- the new role of LACoRs in accreditation
- why landlords support accreditation.
ANUK seeks to provide a national network of those involved, and interested in accreditation as well as campaigning for the recognition that accreditation deserves and the improved need for resources for accreditation initiatives. The conference brings together 16 key speakers in nine workshops and 4 plenaries and encourages delegate participation. Networking time is also planned around breaks and lunch. For those of you joining ANUK as a member, we are able to offer an even larger discount on the modest cost of attending the conference and you get special website access to developing documentation, the national model scheme and two substantial newsletters a year. We hope you can attend the conference and join ANUK and we hope to see you in Cardiff this coming December. Click here to view the ANUK website.
