Fforwm Cymdeithasol Cyrmu - Social Forum Wales

Mae UCMC yn falch o gefnogi Fforwm Cymdeithasol Cymru. Dros Wyl Banc Calan Mai, mae Aberystwyth yn ymagor i ddemocratiaeth go iawn.

Am un penwythnos hir llawn a chynhyrchiol, mae'r dref yn dod yn ganolfan weithredu Cymru. Mae Fforwm Cymdeithasol Cymru'n dod â sefydliadau, grwpiau, rhwydweithiau ac unigolion sy\'n gweithio dros heddwch, cyfiawnder, cynaladwyedd amgylcheddol a rhoi terfyn ar dlodi at ei gilydd. Mae elusennau, cyrff anllywodraethol, grwpiau cymunedol, sefydliadau menywod, cymdeithasau proffesiynol, cynghorau lleol, undebau llafur, pleidiau gwleidyddol blaengar, sefydliadau wedi'i seilio ar ffydd, cynghreiriau ffoaduriaid, grwpiau heddwch, mudiadau gwrth-hiliaeth, gweithredwyr amgylcheddol, rhwydweithiau'r neilltuedig, ymgyrchwyr cymunedol, grwpiau eiriol a phrotest i gyd yn cymryd rhan.

Ers Fforwm Cymdeithasol cyntaf y Byd yn Porto Alegrae, Brasil, mae fforymau yn Ewrop, Asia ac UDA wedi dod yn ffordd y mae pobl yn dod at ei gilydd i fynd i\'r afael â'r materion sy\'n effeithio arnon ni i gyd. Mae Fforwm Cymdeithasol Cymru yn hyrwyddo cymuned, gan ddarparu\'r cyfle i gyfnewid syniadau ac arferion, i drefnu a chydlynu. Mae lle ar gael i chi lwyfannu eich digwyddiadau eich hunain yn ogystal â chymryd rhan yn nigwyddiadau eraill. Ceir rali dorfol, siaradwyr cyweirnod, rheithgor dinasyddion, seminarau a gweithdai, yn ogystal â sioeau ffilm, cerddoriaeth a dawns. Beth bynnag yr ydych chi ei eisiau, a beth bynnag a ddewch chi gyda chi!

NUS Wales is proud to be supporting Social Forum Cymru, a weekend of events celebrating democracy, taking place in Aberystwyth over the May Bank Holiday (28th April - 1st May).

Social Forum Cymru brings together organisations, groups, networks and individuals working for peace, justice, environmental sustainability and an end to poverty. Charities, NGOs, community groups, women's organisations, professional associations, local councils, trade unions, progressive political parties, faith-based organisations, refugee coalitions, peace groups, anti-racist movements, environmental activists, networks of the excluded, community campaigners, advocacy and protest groups all take part in the event.

Since the first World Social Forum in Porto Alegre, Brazil, forums in Europe, Asia and the USA have become the way people come together to address the issues that affect us all. Social Forum Cymru fosters community, providing the opportunity to exchange ideas and practices, to organise and co-ordinate. The space is available for you to both stage your own events and also participate in those of others. There will be a mass rally, keynote speakers, a citizen's jury, seminars and workshops, as well as film shows, music and dance. Whatever you want, and whatever you bring!
