A win for Disabled Students
Bill Rammell MP, minster of state for the Department of Innovation, Universities and Skills, announced on 4 July 2007 that the government would be raising the amount of money made available to disabled students through the Disabled Students' Allowance.
As of 2008, every disabled student in the UK will now be entitled to up to sixty percent more than is currently available.
This announcement is as a result of considerable NUS pressure and the fantastic Snowdon Award Scheme Survey 2006.
