Disability Equality Duty or the DDA Part 5
New laws from December 2006 will place a duty on public bodies to promote disability equality. This will affect all public bodies - from local councils to government departments, from universities to hospitals. This is a real opportunity for SUs to ensure effective representation for SWD.
