Freelance writers required
The BBC's online disability lifestyle magazine, www.bbc.co.uk/ouch, is currently looking for new freelancers. We're after students with any kind of disability who can write in a lively, quirky, opinionated way, and who have a good understanding of the Ouch house style. The site is about people's personal experiences and is very much a lifestyle publication, rather than a traditional information-provider or campaigning publication on disability. For instance, we've recently had a disabled comedian writing about how the Daleks are wheelchair-using icons, a writer with ADD explaining why she thinks Bridget Jones is a classic case, and a blind guy challenging the world darts champion to a game of blind darts. For more about Ouch, please see the following:

You will need a few examples of your writing - it doesn't have to be things that have been published, just anything that shows your writing style - as well as a few ideas for articles they'd like to write.
