DDA Part Three Final
This briefing provides a guide to how student unions can ensure that they are ready for additional duties under the Disability Discrimination Act of 1 October. It provides examples of good practice in employment and in the delivery of student unions' services.
When you’re making your Union accessible for members you are responding positively to the Act, but you can do a lot more by consulting with disabled members about their requirements.
Student unions should also feel encouraged to raise awareness of the rights of disabled students and campaign on the issues of disability equality.
