In which Will retires to spend more time working in politics.
03/11/2005

27th September - Went to Strode College in Street to support their one world week as a substitute for Kat F. who sadly couldn't make it.

I am apologising for all regional conferences, national executive committee meetings and national council meetings for the rest of the year. Amusingly I think that some of the people who will turn should also be apologising.

I am also resigning as a conveynor of the E&E campaign as I feel that the campaign will not do any work unless one person is accountable for it. Also it's a nightmare for two part-time NEC members who don't live in London to communicate and work together effectively. Good luck Flick.

This effectively means I have no responsibilities or indeed any commitments to NUS for the rest of the year. Which is troublesome.

I'm going to tie up some ends regarding green books and the climate change campaign.

I'm going to support Ellie at the FE essentials training in Hitchin.

I'm also going to tie up some ends regarding reform stuff.

I'm going to continue supporting Exmouth and any other local unions who require my help for one off projects.

I'm then going to write several things about NUS. I might even talk about some of the political groups on the NEC if it's possible to make constructive non-personal criticisms.

I'll continue to blog.

If I feel I'm not justifying my £200 a month then I will resign formally.

Will Page.
