HELLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOO
Sorry it’s taken so long to do my first blog of the year, but as you can probably guess I’ve been slightly busy.
First of all, thanks for re electing me, I know it’s about 8 months ago now, but doing block stuff and then working full time hasn’t really given me much time in front of a pc.
The summer as you can probably imagine has really consisted of going to many training sessions across the country and trying to get as involved as possible. As well as NEC training I also attended Developing Your Members at UWE, and also Active Political Leadership in York, both of which I think were well attended and very useful to the people who attended.
Recently I have also attended Lib Dem conference, which was very worthwhile, and chaired a fringe about higher education policy.
The past couple of weeks has really been spent doing freshers' fairs and the odd NEC meeting in Birmingham and London.
But what I really really want to talk about is the south west planning for the day of action, on the 8th of October at Exeter Guild of Students from 11am onwards. This is a get together for any interested people who would like to get involved with the Students in Red day of action, planned by NUS for the 5th November. I, along with Joel, will be attending the event and we're looking for as many people to get involved as possible.
Finally, post grad stuff, I would like to congratulate Matt Gayle on his election as NPC General Secretary and look forward to working with him.
Anyway, as always if you want to get in touch please don’t hesitate to email me or give me a call at 07973566325.
