NUS Welcomes New Affiliates

NUS would like to welcome four new affiliates into membership today.

Students at Chesterfield College, Bridge College in Stockport, McTimmoney College of Chiropractic in Oxfordshire, and University of Northampton Union of Students

Richard Hardwick, President at Northampton was deligthed to be part of NUS

"Being part of NUS gives our students the chance to have a voice at National level, in order for them to speak there minds about THEIR higher education issues. National representation and recognition gives us the chance to share best practice with other institutions so we can work together to give everyone of our students the best opportunities for success whilst studying here. Being part of NUS gives us a sound base to operate our Unions in the best way through NUS' officer training, professional support, legal advice and policy research services."

Stephen Brown, NUS National Secretary welcomed these four unions into membership

"We're so pleased that these four unions have come to join the collective. It's so important that their students and the students across the UK have a united, strong student movement. We look forward to working with these unions more closely".
