Oh my god how hectic things have been recently and have to say have been pretty damn rubbish at keeping my blog updated. The stupid thing is that I have been writing blogs just in my note pads because my lap top has died (boooooo- hisssss to poorly computers) and just haven’t had the chance to write them up. But instead of stuffing my face completely full of choccie this Easter and spending my entire time just floating on my surf board (hell have you been in the sea at the moment- BRRRRRRRR COLD!!!!!!!!!!!) I thought I should actually take some time out to write them up- so if you have nothing else to do for next hour or so have a read through me blogs and I hope that they don’t send ya to sleep- hehehehehehe!!!!!

If you haven’t already realised JDL at the moment is unfortunately not very well and has not been since the start of December. That has meant that I am now the lead officer for FE as well as the SWD officer. This is because I was the co-convenor of the FE priority campaign developing our unions with jdl. I hope that I have been keeping up to date with the work and I do realise that at the moment it is quite hard to get hold of me or for me to reply to emails but I am finding things all a bit hectic so please do bear with me- just wanted to say publicly a huge thanks to nus staff who have been awesome at helping me out the last few months and supporting me when life seemed to be double everything and no time for anything!!!! Also if you do have any questions about FE please do get in touch. It will take me some time to reply to emails but I promise I will.

I have felt quite guilty about not blogging because I personally felt that it is one of the biggest ways that students and the membership can hold me to account but also because it is one the best ways that people can find out what is happening and what we have been up to. I know that there are some people who don’t like blogging or don’t feel that it is worthwhile for the NEC to blog but I would love to know what your thoughts are. Do you actually read the NEC blogs? What do you think and do you find them a worthwhile method of communication? I suppose the reason I want to know is because as someone who blogs quite a lot I just want to know that I’m not wasting my time. Anyhow enjoy reading all my blogs and do let me know what ya think of them and blogging in general- it may take me some time but I will return your email- honest!!!
