We believe in no platform for racists and fascists.
10/05/2007

On Monday the 14th of May at 7pm, Nick Griffin of the racist and fascist BNP will be giving a lecture at Bath University.

We believe in no platform for racists and fascists.

We believe that people from all backgrounds should feel safe on their campuses, irrespective of gender, sexuality, disability, race, religion or ethnicity.

Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel taught a lesson that informs me as a Jew when he said in 1960s America that the Exodus from Egypt was not yet over; he said that whilst it was still easier for the Israelites to cross the Red Sea than it was for African Americans to cross some University Campuses, it would be wrong to celebrate freedom. I believe that, when our higher education institutions fail to recognize that their students cannot be free to learn whilst the likes of Griffin are free to preach hatred and racial intolerance, the exodus is not over.

We stand with the students of Bath University.

Stand with us. Join me at the protest at the University of Bath (at 5pm on the 14th May)

Update: Bath cancels BNP visit
