So here are my links, which reflect my politics, me as a person and just sites that I check every time I’m on the Internet.

www.compassonline.co.uk
I am a member of Compass, which is a centre left pressure group within the Labour Party. There alternative Schools White Paper was fantastic and worth a read.

www.ccsu.co.uk
Canterbury Christ Church Students’ Union where it all began for me. Whilst I was studying I was a Sports President, a Societies President and then became VP Sports & Societies before becoming President of the Union. Oh and I managed to get a degree as well

www.seanus.org, www.wmanus.org.uk
Whilst President of Christ Church I was also SEANUS Convenor. I love areas and the part they play in engaging students on a local level. Check out the SEANUS and WMANUS webpages to find out about their campaigns this year.

www.busa.org.uk
British University Sport. Were a great help to me when I was an Activities Sabb and they co-ordinate the Wednesday Afternoon sports leagues

www.tuc.org.uk
We have launched the partnership programme with the TUC and we should definitely encourage students to become members of Trade Unions. We are moving to an organising culture and this partnership is a huge step in the right direction

www.esib.org
I have attended an ESIB event (see my blog) and the European Students Union is interesting to say the least. Check out the site, its definitely different information to what we are used to

www.tht.org.uk
The Welfare Campaign do a lot of work with the Terrence Higgins Trust, and it’s easy to see why. I have to say looking at the site I have learnt quite a bit more about sexual health, and I thought I knew quite a bit!! (PS Beware of Fruit Flavour Condoms!!)

www.educationet.org/messagboard
I check it, I occasionally post on it. Most NEC check it and they are misleading you if they say they don’t. I like Ednet even if at times it crosses the line

www.alansenitt.com
Alan was a family member of mine tragically murdered in America. He was heavily involved in the student movement before heading up the Co-Existence Trust www.coexistencetrust.org.uk This site is a dedication to him and his work

www.islamic-relief.com
I had the privilege to attend the Islamic Relief concert in the Royal Albert Hall. It is a great charity helping young orphans across the world, and trying to alleviate poverty and suffering.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport
I also check the news section but the sport section is where I spend most of my time

www.wellingunited.com
I am a massive ‘Wings’ fan and have been since I was young. We play in the Conference South. I do not have a Premiership team or other team that I follow because I like to watch ‘proper’ football and believe people should always follow their small local clubs

www.bexleycc.co.uk
My Cricket Club which also happens to be at the end of my road. I have played at Bexley since the age of 4 and would never play for another club. It’s brilliant and I would now class myself as a social player

www.myspace.com/c4bubble, www.bebo.com/c4bubble I refuse to use the elitist ‘Facebook’ and settle for Bebo to keep in touch with Uni friends, and it has to be said I’m still getting to grips with Myspace, but add me to either of them. I find them great for keeping in touch, as do I with MSN richardbudden@hotmail.co.uk

www.ringo.com Great to put all your pictures on and let other people copy them.

I also check out the various factions and groups that operate within NUS’ websites and love to have a read of them. I am not a member of a faction but have to say I am a bit of a ‘hack’ and love to know what’s going on within them and what they are doing. It has to be said ENS is my favourite at the moment due to it always being updated, and has opinions as well as Campaigns
