Mitch was elected to the NUS NEC for the first time at NUS annual conference in April 2004. Mitch has previously spent two years on the NUS Anti Racism committee and one year on NUS National Council. A full time student of Politics at The University of Birmingham he has been involved in BUGS, its student union, since his first year.

Mitch has an unhealthy interest in Nottingham Forest Football Club, enjoys listening tomusic, specifically musicians with a message and watching DVDs. Mitch also enjoys debating post enlightenment philosophy and trying to think of new ways to save the world and create revolution, without the social upheaval and violence.
