| I'm currently away at a conference on youth employment which is really amazing. It is a european conference and we have talked on everything from the european youth pact to precarious work situations and the effects of mulitple oppressions. It has been a very philisophical seminar but it has also addressed how to work and involve young people at a grass roots level which tediously links to the fact that so many Lesbian activists are doing groundwork through music at the moment! Such a simple thing that we don't promote in NUS. I feel that art and drama have a big place in the LGBT communities and when you get involved in the politics you often forget about the benefits of social learning and development through music, art and drama. With this in mind you should check out these two sites. The first is the music site of a previous NUS LGBT Activist and the other is the music site of a European Activist that i work with. Two completely different genres but two key messages. Check them out: www.myspace.com/kicktin www.myspace.com/chloevaughan AND....... ......LGBT Conference is coming up! (and i'm getting quite stressed) I am so eager to make sure everyone one has a great conference as it is going to be my last one! It's in Sheffield and should be a great interactive event. I personally can't wait to see everyone again and learn more about LGBT Campaigns up and down the country. This Conference will also be looking further beyond the borders than we have looked before with more international input than ever! See you at conference Any problems here's my number: 07813571919 Kat Louis
