- Student union visit – Sussex University
- Internal website development/scoping meeting
- NUS Annual reception – our yearly event in Parliament to celebrate our work over the last year and look forward to the next. We use it as an opportunity to meet with and build networks with key external partners. Attached is my speech.
We also used the event to formally launch Coalition 2010 alongside our partners from the trade union movement. The speech lays it out but I really encourage you all to sign up and get as many other people as you possibly can to do so.
- Affiliation meeting
- Launch of AMSU/NUS governance briefing – I know that some of you won’t initially think that governance is sexy – I really didn’t – but it is vitally important that we get on board with it and as soon as possible. Please read attached speech.
- Unite Against Fascism Steering meeting at Congress House
- Interview with Investors in People in HQ

- This Thursday I nearly got to go on Question Time – however, because of George
- Met with NIACE – really positive meeting. Think there is a lot of scope and potential for some really useful joint projects and strategies
- NEC Trade Union work meeting – the NEC at its very worst but you can ask others about that
