| - Management Team Mtg
- NEC mtg, now to be honest I’m getting to the point in my NUS life, after 5 years of sitting on the NEC, of becoming so warn down and frustrated of the mtgs. Of their pettiness, back biting and small time politics and power plays going. I know that they’re a necessary part of the organization, but I fail to see why we have to continue to go through the same hoops time after time.
- On Wednesday Andy and I traveled to Oxford to visit People and Planet and to look at their intern programme. It was honestly a fascinating day, and gave much food for though. It was also a good chance to catch up with James Lloyd, who is working for them now. Also popped in to see the Brookes Sabbs, and catch up with their democratic reform agenda.
- Office Day
- Traveled to Exmouth to join the demonstrations that Katie had organized over the potential closure of the site. As ever Katie and her team had done a sterling job, yet the university refused to back down, and instead ratified their decision. This will have a huge and devastating affect not only on the students of the college but also on the local community.
- Headed straight from Exmouth to Cardiff, where I stayed the night before attending Welsh Winter Council in Newport. Obviously congratulations go to Dylan for winning his election. Didn’t get to stay long though as had to be straight back on a train to attend..
- Media awards, in conjunction with the Daily Mirror. Always a good night, and a night to be remembered I’m told.
