• Regional Conference Week – Do I need to say more, most of you will have been there, if not and you want to see the presentations then let me know.

• Interviewed for Public Affairs Officer. Delighted to say that after several strong candidates we have appointed, and Karen will be joining us very shortly.

• Got in from Liverpool Regional Conference really late, and then struggled to get up and fly to Belfast in order to meet with Queens, who are facing a number of difficult decisions that the university are trying to push through. Also had a bilateral mtg with USI. I’m not really able to go into detail here, but it’s fair to say that it was one of the most difficult mtgs I’ve ever been in, and we did end up feeling forced into walking out – more to follow.
