I’m starting to write my blog on Sunday 1 October after I appear to have managed to get an evening off, not quite sure that has happened, but taking the opportunity as it stands to update you on my last 3 months.
It’s safe to say that this period has been the most busy, stressful and fulfilling of my experiences so far. I appear to have aged dramatically, I’m smoking again (sorry mam) and I have to find time to visit a hairdressers sometime soon, but I believe that the National Union is moving forward as an organisation and were building strong contacts with trade unions, campaigning organisations and members of parliament.
I’m giving a brief synopsis of July, August, and September (see entries to the right) and then will start again for October. It is also impossible for me to write of the last three months without mentioning some of the large internal issues that have faced the organisation. It is inarguable that we have faced some tough challenges over the period and it has been unsettling for many in the organisation.
However we have refocused and believe we have a plan for the future.
