No, I’m not referring to the shooting season, but to Scotland’s home results for the Six Nations. The France and England games were more nerve wracking than waiting to see whether the contestant should have waited to say deal, but lucking Scotland said no deal to both to come away with two home wins.
Throughout February I also attended another round of regional conferences, this time starting in the NW and working south. I’m still not convinced by Regional Conferences – they do mean that officers have the opportunity to question the NEC on a local level, but I’m not sure that the current format is really the best use of NUS resources. Regional Conferences as always led on to the second National Council of the year, which has been well blogged about already, so I’m not going to bore you with more!
The day after National Council I had the opportunity to attend the FE lobby. I will always admit to not really knowing that much about FE, but the morning information session provided me with everything I needed to convince my MP to sign the EDM.
I also made my way back to Aberdeen for the annual sports ball (reputedly the best sports ball in the country!), which was a great opportunity to meet up with friends from Uni.
