I'm sure someone has stolen some time as I don't seem to have enough of it at the moment (nor money, but that's another story). Thursday isn't just the NUS Priority Campaigns launch and reception - it's also the first day of September, which means that July and August have vanished in the blink of an eye.
It also means that from Thursday, Liberation 2005 and the Liberation, Equality and Diversity in Action training will be "next month" (18 and 19/20 October) - which, as any NEC member with responsibility for a training event will tell you, is a bloody scary thought! Especially as it's a brand new event, as you haven't even got past experiences to go by!
Another thing about time going so quick is that your thoughts start to turn to Next Year (and I don't mean January 1st)... I'm doing my second year as NUS Women's Officer, which means I'm not eligible to stand again. So, I've either got to think about other positions or getting out into the "real world". Of course, I could always go back into education but I think that for now, I'll keep my options open.
Anyway, the whole point of this post was to moan about not having enough time to get everything done so I guess I'd better get on with it and finish everything off in case I wake up tomorrow to find that it's December....
Enjoy what's left of the summer
