One of the most important aspects to a successful and active campaign is communication - and that's something we really want to develop within the women's movement.
The NUS Women's Campaign sends out regular newsletters letting you know what we're doing, what's going on in the news and what's happening in your local area. If you are a Women's Officer or someone who is just interested in what we do and how you can support us, then send an email to women@nus.org.uk saying your name, union, SU position (if any) and what your email address is. And if you've got a women's group in your union, tell them to get in touch so we can keep them informed as well.
What's more, I've recently set up a brand new Yahoo discussion group for the Women's Campaign - the previous ones were over-run with spam which didn't exactly lend itself to productive and pro-active discussions!
If you are a woman officer or student, then you can join the group by sending an email to NUSstudentwomen-subscribe@yahoogroups.com or visit the group website at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NUSstudentwomen/
Again, send that address round your women's group contacts - NUS does not stand for the National Union of Sabbaticals - let's get students involved in the campaign!
