Less than one week away now and we have incredibly important things to do up in not so sunny Blackpool. Conference can be confusing, alienating and intimidating but it is also fun, stimulating and energising. First-time delegates - best bit of advice I can give you is to read absolutely everything you can beforehand then hound your delegation for advice and support on the way to Blackpool.
The first debate, as you all will know by now, is the ratification of the new constitution for NUS. This is not ideal as it is such a complex debate with both sides for and against absolutely bursting at the seams with hot air on this (me included) - so we are putting on a briefing room for people who want to come and find out more from those who have been involved in its drafting and the communication of it. We will also have student officers and students from the UK there saying why they support the changes.
Come along and find out more: Winter Gardens from 10am until the start of conference. Whenever you get to conference and are registered, pop in to see what its all about!
