8 May – Meeting with Bill Rammell about SUEI, Governance meeting and Bursaries campaign meeting

9 May – met with Trade Union Partnerships Manager, meeting with Staff Trade Union, Faith on Campus meeting and in evening attended a launch event reception for the ATL Union.

10 May – Glastonbury meeting

11 May – Regional Conference preparation, meeting with Chief Executive

14-17 May – Regional Conferences

18 May – Liberation meeting, meeting about Annual reception

20 May – Sunday, spoke at the National Assembly of Women’s AGM

21 May – Senior management team meeting,

22 May – Governance review work, meeting about Faith on Campus

23 May – meeting with Staff Trade Union, met Boris Johnson Tory shadow HE

24 May – NUS holdings meeting

25 May – Education and Skills survey 2007 launch, priority campaigns meeting

29 May – NEC meeting, meeting with BBC and THT about a campaign on HIV

30 May – HEFCE Widening Participation Committee meeting, meeting with Staff Trade Union,

31 May – Governance review work, travel to Bournemouth for the UCU annual dinner

Tried to take a week off here but ended up coming in quite a bit!

6 June – met with staff about Faith on Campus agenda, Staff Trade Union meeting, Bill Rammell meeting, then in the evening NUS hosted a dinner with John Grogan MP for Vice Chancellors and friendly MP’s about the forthcoming HE review and the flaws in the current system.

9 June – Compass Conference, NUS Fringe

10 –17 June Delegation to South Africa with Action for Southern Africa

18-20 June Senior management team residential

20 – 25 June – Glastonbury Festival with NUS spoke at Leftfield on the Saturday and the Sunday

26 June – Endsleigh Board Meeting

27 June – Met UCEA, meeting on Education, and meeting with Joe Keenan

28 June – Governance review work, 1994 Group conference on student experience, Improvement Board meeting and evening Veronica and Ellies leaving drinks

29 June – Speaking at UUK Conference on campus cohesion

July

2-5 July Regional Conferences but I did some meetings and events in between! DIUS announcement - more student support (I did various media work including 5 live, BBC news 24, Sky, Channel 4, IRN, AP etc etc)

4 July – CEL FE awards

5 July – Met Pam Tatlow from CMU

6 July – visit to Surrey SU

7 July – Justice for Columbia BBQ

9-12 July – NEC Residential (did 3 hour show on 5 Live on the 11th as a panalist too)

16 July – FE ministerial summit on faith on campus, launch of CEL and NEAFE report on making space for faith

17 July – Active Political Leadership training course for student officers

18 July - AMSU Conference speech and DIUS announcement for funding to support SUEI then back to Active Political Leadership

19 July – Meeting with John Denham Secretary of State for Education and Lord Treisman from the Department for Universities, Innovation and Skills

21-28 HOLIDAY!!!!
