| First thing to say, its been hot and its been busy, but so far its also been great. We started off the year at the NEC Residential in Southport where the NEC got to know each other more, got to know the organisation and staff better and planned for the year ahead. The NEC also received their responsibility allocations which you can find online here. Friday 7th I went to Marxism 2006 for the afternoon after doing some priority campaign planning. Saturday 8th I went to the RISE against Racism festival in Finsbury Park. Monday 10th – 11th I went up to Edinburgh for the Aldwych group handover. Wednesday 12th – Went back to my old SU to speak to the new sabbs there about NUS and the campaigns we are running this year Thursday 13th – Met with CND Friday 14th – Director interviews Saturday 15th – 16th – Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival, Dorset (see previous blog) I have also moved into my office, had various internal meetings with Staff, have done much press work and written my first blog for the Guardian Will catch up again soon, but in the meantime you can email me on president@nus.org.uk
