Well, this is it, the last couple of days in NUS HQ, its been an absolutely exhausting year so far but I really think we are making progress. We’ve moved to new offices, got the MORI research, had more motions submitted than last year to annual conference, we had a good summer training programme, we’ve made massive steps forward on FE, we’ve had a reasonably successful Extra trial, we’ve had some good campaigns actions and we’ve still got so much to do.
I hope you all have an amazing break during the holidays, I’m sure you need it, I know that I do!
Just a very brief run down of this week for you….
Monday 19th was the Year of Change group who recived the MORI report, heard the plan for the strategic plan for NUS and tasked the National Director and myself to work on it over Christmas and formulated options for democratic change. The group also received the review of the regions update and broadly agreed with changes in that that impact on the Strategic direction of NUS. I was really pleased with how this went, everyone was really positive and enthusiastic. I hope this remains the case. We have a lot of work to do as a group to meet all of our conference deadlines, however, I am sure we can do it!
Today I am in HQ, eating too many chocolates and trying to catch up on final emails before leaving to go and celebrate Kat’s birthday with her tonight.
Have a lovely time, no doubt I’ll speak to you in the New Year.
