Following the drama of Extraordinary Conference in Wolverhampton and the vital savings that were made there I have been involved in a number of things. Obviously the National Demonstration in Cardiff but also the Edinburgh Referendum. Fighting a referendum campaign is not only vital but also extremely good fun and the decision of Edinburgh to affiliate was testament to the hard work of the NEC members, sabbaticals from all over the country and students. All of whom played their part campaigning day and night. Special credit must go to Melanie Ward for leading the fight in this historic triumph.

For those of you that didn’t go to Edinburgh and want to play a part in standing up for NUS it would be great if you get involved at the referendums at Newcastle 2-4th March and Cardiff 14th-15th March.
