National demo and meetings

REMEMBER the first FE leadership residential starts THIS WEEK, make sure you and your officers are registered on an event by going to www.officeronline.co.uk/fe

If I haven’t been in HQ in front of the computer this is what I’ve been doing recently.

Meeting with Bill Rammell, Minister for Higher Education and Life Long Learning

Meeting with Alan Strickland and Wes in Oxford to talk about the national demonstration

Ministerial Standing Group meeting

National Learner Panel steering group meeting.

The National Learner Panel is making swift progress will be launched on 20th November!

Meeting with the Treasury to discuss submissions to the Comprehensive Spending Review

Helping out at the UWE referendum.

89% YES 2 NUS! Congratulations to everyone who was involved in securing such a fantastic result.

NUS/AoC Student Governor policy forum.

We were fully booked for this event and had a packed afternoon with keynote speakers and workshop sessions. If you are a student governor make sure you come along to the next forum on 6th February 2007 in Manchester, more information will be available on www.officeronline.co.uk/fe nearer the time.

NUS NATIONAL DEMONSTRATION

My first NUS demo and I absolutely loved it. The turn-out and the atmosphere was brilliant, congratulations to all the people who worked so hard to make it a success.
