• Meeting with English Secondary Schools Association

• Meeting with Andrew Thompson, CEO of Quality Improvement Agency

• Meeting with NUS Development Workers

• Speech on learner voice and the future of FE governance at Governors training conference for colleges in Staffordshire

• Personalisation Project Group meeting

• South East Student Staff Liaison Officers meeting

• South East Student officers network day

• London Student Staff Liaison Officers meeting

• Areas Political Convention

FE Leadership events

The FE campaign is working with the Centre for Excellence in Leadership to develop the training we provide to student leaders in FE colleges.

So, I’m pleased to announce our new training programme: FE Leadership!

Over the coming year there are a programme of events designed to develop student leaders and students’ unions in FE. We have designed a new and enhanced programme for our regional residential training events for student officers, revised our student governor training and moved to regional training days so that we can provide local, specialised support to student governors, we will be holding regional networking days for student officers so you can share best practice and work with other officers in similar set ups to you on developing your unions and for the first time we will bring together student leaders and leaders in the FE sector for a one day national leadership conference to discuss and debate the FE sector in plenary session, panel debates, workshops and key note addresses.

Registration forms for FE Leadership training events and Student Governor training are available now- please visit www.officeronline.co.uk/fe for more information and to download a registration form.

I look forward to seeing you there!
