Quick update before I jet off to Greece (Unlike the last VP FE I shall return!!!!!!)
28/07/2005

I’m on annual leave next week (a week by the sea in Greece here I come!) so I thought I’d give a quick update on what I’ve been up to. I’ll do some detailed blogging when I get back.

• 18th-19th spent in the office getting on with some work

• 20th- FE advocates ‘thank you’ dinner in Manchester- it was really fun catching up with you all (if you didn’t make it we missed you), thank you for the endless support you have given me recently. I feel very lucky to have worked with you last year and I hope we carry on this year- you’ve made such a difference to the FE campaign and are absolute stars!

• 21st – SIAD/KIAD in-house training, running a session on how to run an effective course reps system. It was my first student union visit so I was a bit nervous but I had a great time. They have a dedicated, enthusiastic team of officers and I’ve no doubt they will do a brilliant job in their busy year to come.

• 22nd- Priority Campaigns meeting

• Most of this week has been spent in the office- its been nice to be able to do a few solid days work. I’ve been writing motions for the British Youth Council AGM in September, putting together the FE campaign, allocating NEC to FE Freshers Fayres, answering and advising queries/problems from student unions and officers amongst lots of other things.

Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be:

• Meeting with representatives from the Centre of Excellence in Leadership

• Attending a Priority Campaigns meeting

• Going on holiday

• Attending Activities into Action at Hertfordshire Uni.

• Areas convention at NUS HQ
