In 2009 National Union of Students and the National Union of Teachers plan to launch a large scale campaign about hidden course costs for teaching students. What we need is willing volunteers and activists to lead the campaigns locally, so whether you’re a student officer, a teaching student the chair of the NUT Society, or just someone who fancies making a difference - we need you!

What is clear is that children, and therefore by extension teachers, are the future of this country. However if just one talented teacher has to leave their course due to unforeseen costs, for example travelling to a placement, or the cost of books this is a failing several generations of classes.

The NUS and the NUT will be calling on Student Unions, Universities, Schools and Government to address these issues, but we cant do it alone which is why we need you!
