FE Campaigns Launch was absolutely amazing this year. With over 100 officers in attendance, and workshops delivered from external organisations such as People and Planet, The Votes at 16 Coalition, ACTSA, Aegis, UCU, Unison and Kick Racism out of Football.
Aside from the workshops, myself and Paul Mackney from NIACE signed NUS and NIACE’s memorandum of understanding, we discussed both the CALL Campaign and Citizen 16 Campaign. Ian Pursglove attended from the LSC to have a rather heated (!) Q&A session on the EMA shambles, and the day was finished off perfectly when we were honoured to have Emelda Mhuriro: Deputy General Secretary, Zimbabwe Civil Service Employees’ Association and Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions General Council member, who spoke on the role of teachers and students in campaigning for change in Southern Africa.
Here are a few photos I managed to snap of the day. The professional photographers photos will be up as soon as possible.
