This is just a quick blog to let everyone know about the FE Campaigns Day, on Friday 26th October, held at Southwark College, London.

In previous years, when there was a single campaigns convention for both HE and FE unions, turnout from FE was low due to the early date and HE focus. To overcome previous low turnout, for the first time the FE Zone will be hosting a specific FE event to launch our campaigning work for the year and to provide workshops and briefings designed to equip officers with the tools and expertise to make successful campaigns happen within an their own colleges.

Workshops will be hosted in collaboration with a number of key external groups, including the British Youth Council, NEAFE, UCU and the TUC, covering a range of topics. There will also be opportunities for FE officers to learn about other NUS campaign zones.

The event is open to FE student officers and will be free.
