| 29 September 2006 – Manchester University SU NUS will be holding a mental health day on 29 September 2006. This joint venture between the Disabled Students campaign and the Welfare campaign is an important part of the NUS calendar. The event will be held at Manchester University Students’ Union. This year, we have speakers on students and suicide, self harm, LGBT mental health, Black mental health, how to set policy in your union on mental health and how to run a mental health campaign – along with a number of other important mental health issues. Mental Health affects 1 in 4 students at some time in their course, and this day will help you support students with mental ill health, along with campaign for their rights in your union. You can download a registration form here The event is only £10 for HE students and officers and free for FE students and officers. I look forward to seeing you there.
