| Following recent NUS meetings with Conservative Shadow Education Secretary David Willetts, Liberal Democrat education spokesperson Stephen Williams and former Education Secretary David Blunkett, a number of written questions have been tabled this week. The following questions were tabled for answer on 16 April 2007. Stephen Williams (Bristol West): To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, what the planned cash cost is of grants for (a) full-time and (b) part-time undergraduate students in England in 2007-08. Stephen Williams (Bristol West): To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, what the planned cash cost is of maintenance income contingent loans for full-time higher education students in England in 2007-08. Stephen Williams (Bristol West): To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, what proportion of Higher Education Funding Council for England-funded students are on first full Level 4 degrees. David Willetts (Havant): To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, what estimates have been made of the total value of unclaimed non-repayable bursaries and scholarships for students at higher education institutions in each year since 2001. David Willetts (Havant): To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, how many and what percentage of UK higher education institutions spent their full budgeted levels on income-assessed non-repayable bursaries for undergraduate students in each year since 1996. David Willetts (Havant): To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, what the total value was on income-assessed non-repayable student bursaries administered by the Student Loan Company on behalf of higher education institutions in each year since 2001. David Willetts (Havant): To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, how many income-assessed non-repayable student bursaries were administered by the Student Loan Company on behalf of higher education institutions in each year since 2001. David Willetts (Havant): To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, what mechanisms exist for the Office of Fair Access to ensure higher education institutions spend budgeted levels on income-assessed non-repayable bursaries. David Blunkett (Sheffield, Brightside): To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, how many (a) UK-based and (b) non-EU undergraduates were attending (i) university and (ii) other higher education colleges in England in (A) 1997 and (B) 2006. David Blunkett (Sheffield, Brightside): To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, what proportion of higher education students was drawn from low participation neighbourhoods in (a) 1997, (b) 2001 and (c) 2005. David Blunkett (Sheffield, Brightside): To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, how many students at English Russell Group universities were drawn from state schools in (a) 1997 and (b) 2006.
