About the Training Unit

• The Training unit is responsible for the development of the NUS national training programme. Around 1,500 officers are trained throughout the year, the focus of delivery being from July to September.
• The Unit is also responsible for events and programmes including National Convention, FE Student Governors, one-day training programmes including academic appeals, recruitment & selection and developing equal opportunities policies.
• Support the regional teams in delivering regional and in-house events for students’ unions.
• Deliver training programmes for AMSU and NUSSL.
