About the services NUS provides

While NUS is run by officers democratically elected by members, a team of skilled staff are key to the effective running of the organisation.

NUS’ Chief Executive Matt Hyde is responsible for staff management and the day-to-day running of NUS. He heads a senior management team, comprising of the directors of NUS’ three Directorates; Business Services, Campaigns and Strategy and Membership Development, as well as the Head of Communications. The senior management team are collectively responsible for ensuring that NUS as an organisation is in the strongest possible shape to carry out the political direction of the elected leadership and deliver for NUS’ membership.
